About Katy Bray Counselling
Hi, I’m Katy,
I am a person-centred and integrative counsellor in Dorset, working one-to-one with adults both in person and online. My approach is grounded in empathy, respect, and genuine connection, creating a safe and non-judgemental space where you can explore your thoughts, feelings, and experiences at your own pace.
Being integrative means I draw from a range of therapeutic approaches, tailoring our work together to suit your unique needs. Whether you're dealing with anxiety, low mood, past experiences, or simply feeling stuck, I’m here to support you as you make sense of what’s going on and find a way forward.
I believe that you are the expert in your own life my role is to walk alongside you, offering support, insight, and space for growth.
Experience & Areas I Work With
My professional experience enables me to work with clients facing a wide range of concerns, including:
Anxiety & stress | Depression & low mood | Relationship or family difficulties | Blended family challenges | Grief & bereavement | Low self‑esteem & confidence | Work‑related stress | Difficult life experiences | Trauma
I have significant experience working with families and supporting individuals through complex relational dynamics, communication difficulties, and life transitions.
Moving Forward
Taking the First Step
Reaching out can feel difficult, but it’s a meaningful step toward support. You can contact me by filling out the form on my website or sending an email.
Feel free to share a little about what’s been going on I’ll respond with care to arrange a session that suits you, either in person or online.
Our First Meeting
Our first meeting is a chance for us to get to know each other. We'll talk about what’s brought you to counselling and what you’d like to explore. It’s also an opportunity to see if working together feels like the right fit for you.
There’s no pressure just a safe, supportive space to begin your journey at your own pace.
Moving Forward Together
As we continue working together, we’ll build a deeper therapeutic relationship based on trust, honesty, and understanding.
Ongoing sessions provide the space to explore your thoughts and feelings more fully, helping you gain insight, build resilience, and move toward meaningful change at a pace that feels right for you.
My Counselling Environment
I provide a safe and non-judgmental environment in which you are encouraged to explore and work through whatever experiences they may have. In this supportive setting, you will have both the time and the freedom to talk about your thoughts and feelings, which will enable you to reflect in a meaningful way and achieve personal growth.
No matter whether we see each other in person in Wimborne, have a session over Zoom or speak on the telephone, my aim is to be a warm, steady and reliable presence throughout your counselling journey.
